Acceptable use policy

Last updated 4 September 2026

Redialler is a tool for real people making real calls. This policy sets out the laws you must follow, the things you must not do, and what happens if you do them.

1. Who this applies to

This policy applies to everyone who uses Redialler: account owners, managers, reps, and anyone else who places calls or handles data through the product. The account owner is responsible for making sure their team follows it.

2. Calling laws you must follow

You are responsible for making sure every call you place is lawful where you are and where the person you are calling is. Redialler gives you tools to help, but the duty is yours.

United States: the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA), the Telemarketing Sales Rule (TSR), the National Do Not Call Registry, and state do-not-call and telemarketing laws, including state calling-hour limits.

United Kingdom: the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR) and UK GDPR, including the Telephone Preference Service.

Recording: you must have the consent required by law before recording a call. Some US states and other countries require consent from everyone on the call.

3. Not allowed

Robocalls, auto-dialled campaigns with no live agent, or pre-recorded messages. Every Redialler call must be started by a person and answered by a person.

Spoofing or displaying a caller ID for a number you do not own or have no right to use.

Calling emergency numbers, or any number for the purpose of testing or tying up emergency lines.

Harassment, threats, abuse, or repeated calls to someone who has asked you to stop.

Fraud, scams, misleading claims, or impersonating another person or organisation.

Calling outside the hours allowed by law in the recipient's location.

Ignoring do-not-call requests, whether made to you directly or through a registry.

Using Redialler to collect or process data you have no lawful basis to hold.

4. Number reputation

Phone numbers are shared infrastructure with carriers. Calling patterns that look like spam harm every customer's numbers, not just yours.

Redialler limits calls per number, leaves gaps between calls, and rests numbers that show signs of trouble. Where a number or account puts carrier standing at risk, Redialler may rest, restrict, or reclaim that number without notice.

5. Recording

Recording is off by default. If you turn it on, you must have the consent the law requires, and you should use the recording notice where two-party consent applies.

Recordings are held by Redialler only during processing and are then saved to your CRM. Do not use recordings for any purpose that the person on the call would not reasonably expect.

6. Reporting abuse

If you believe someone is using Redialler in breach of this policy, email hello@redialler.com with the subject Abuse. Include the number, the time, and what happened. We investigate every report.

7. Enforcement

If we find a breach, we will normally warn you first and explain what needs to change.

If the breach continues, or is serious, we may suspend calling for the account or for specific users while we investigate.

For severe or repeated breaches, or where the law requires it, we may terminate the account. Fees already paid are not refunded in that case.

8. Changes

We may update this policy as laws and carrier rules change. We will post the new version here and update the date at the top. Continued use after a change means you accept it.
